Lessons from Abroad: Converting your international experience into future opportunities

The Lessons from Abroad planning committee is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Lessons from Abroad Conference in Northern California, to be held at Saint Mary’s College of CA on March 6th, 2010. Each year, the Lessons Conference has drawn close to 150 college students who have successfully completed a study, internship or work program abroad.  This year we also aim to recruit international students to our conference.  We believe students studying in the US from overseas will also benefit immensely from the information and resources we plan to exhibit.

The Lessons from Abroad Conference offers study abroad returnees and international students the opportunity to reflect on their recent international experiences, connect with other study abroad alumni with similar interests, network and gather resources from professionals in internationally-focused organizations, and gain important skills for continual learning and application in their future career and academic paths. Conference highlights include a Keynote Presentation from a highly regarded mentor in the field of international education,  an "Opportunities Fair" of internationally-focused organizations, various panel discussions and workshops providing instruction on resume-building, graduate schools, career opportunities, international volunteering/service-learning, job interviewing and more!
